Biography:
I am a senior editor and reporter for the storage, server, and virtual desktop beats for ChannelWeb and CRN. I keep readers abreast of the latest issues related to such areas as data life-cycle, business continuity and disaster recovery, virtualization, and data centers, along with related services and software.
I started at CRN in October 1997. Before that, I was chief editor of Taiwan-based CompuTrade International, where I learned to argue with his sales colleagues in Mandarin Chinese. My first introduction to CRN was when I was setting up CompuTrade. Someone handed me a copy of CRN and told me to reverse-engineer it.
I graduated from the University of Wisconsin at River Falls with degrees in computer science and economics. While there, I had a key to the computer center so I could play Mansion and Empire all night on the HP 3000.
